Today I am sharing my modern Fairytale with you, so keep scrolling down.
In this post, I've recreated this look I wore about a year ago on my visit to the magical Eiffel Tower, Paris.
Honestly, I was absolutely unsure of wearing a tulle skirt, but than i wanted to wear something exclusive, something I've never worn before, so i decided to feel like a fairy, got my magic wand out and got it stitched. I absolutely love it now, It's made from the softest tulle in ivory colour. I have worn it with a bandage dress, and these glitter golden heels that i bought from a local store -Tote Gallore in New Delhi, To add a little dash of colour to this monochrome outfit , I've also added this gorgeous Bag from Splash in Aqua blue.
so here's my Modern Fairytale
My first International trip was all about Chasing Dreams.
Last year in june 2014, when i went to Europe, i had a lot of dreams, I was visiting 3 cities : Zurich, Milan and PARIS, and i dreamt about evrything, like literally everything.. I use to think about how it's going to be from delhi to zurich, then to milan and then pariiis, the journey; the people; the architechture; I also dreamt of watching sunsets at almost midnight; dancing in the rain; about spending day to night with my girl friends; making new friends with no similarities, different language, different culture; shopping in euros; dressing up; eating macrons; clicking pictures and creating memories.
Honestly, I've always dreamt of going to Paris, wanted to visit my dream destination for the first time with someone I love, watch the light show live at the Eiffel Tower, walk around in the city of romance holding hands, wear a new dreamy outfit for the first time, kiss in the rain, love lock at the Pont Des Art bridge and get a photoshoot right in front of the magical Eiffel Tower.
So, for me it was more about myfairytale dream, not a usual trip. However, not all dreams come true, I visited Paris with my girl friends, not with the love of my life, and as everybody says the first time is always special, so I decided to atleast make it little fashionably special, if not otherwise.
On my first day in Paris, I went to Shopping at Champs Elyseewith my girls and chose to wear something chic yet comfy, so I wore a black bandage dress with a denim shirt and paired them with black belerina flats, then at night we went to place du trocaderoto watch the light show at The Eiffel Tower (believe me that moment was MAGIC) I wanted to look perfect and get captured, so that i can cherish those memories forever, however the pictures came out really bad. (still crying)
Anyways at night, as we went there right after shopping so, I wore the same Black Dress and added little princessy touch to it by wearing a tulle skirt over it and Glitter heels, Honestly I was feeling so concious, but then my friends motivated me and when i went to get some pictures right in front of the epitome of beauty THE EIFFEL TOWER, everybody around me noticed me, some made fun and some appreciated, but then someone's truly heartfelt compliment boosted my confidence, I remember a couple came to me and said I look like a fairy, and i was like Yay! You made my day even more special now.
That one little moment made my trip even more special and memorable for ever.
Guys, It's been said that one negative comment has ten times the impact (for most of us) as one positive comment, so for many it's fighting a losing battle. One of the nicest things you can do for someone you meet is to try and raise their confidence and make them feel better about themselves.
Confidence is an incredibly important asset. It helps us to be happy in who we are and it means that we aim high at achieving our goals and ambitions and that we generally believe in ourselves. If you are fortunate enough to have a lot of confidence then you will know how much happier it makes you than those who do not.
That little moment taught me "To don’t let the grey world stop you from shining, don't wait for your prince charming, take out your magic wand and be a fairy of your own fairytale."
I thought to recreate this look for you guys, as i don't have much pictures from my visit to the eiffel tower to share with you all. Hope you like it.
Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful week!
